Trunk Shows

and

Workshops

I offer a trunk show entitled “Adding Redwork-Style Embroidery to Your Quilts”. Although I recognize that not everyone does embroidery, I feel that everyone can draw inspiration from my work.

In my lecture I describe the features of redwork embroidery and outline its history in America. I discuss my journey as an award-winning quilter with more than twenty-five years of experience. I showcase 16 quilts that feature redwork embroidery, fourteen of which are my original designs.

I offer two workshops. Introduction to Redwork Embroidery is designed for the quilter who would like to learn how to do embroidery. Students can select from a number of my original designs. Students can use their own supplies or purchase complete kits.

In my second workshop, Embroidered Dresden Wall Hanging, students create a small Dresden Plate wall hanging (20” x 20”) that features embroidery. Students have the option of doing hand embroidery or using simple machine stitching. The majority of this project can be completed in one class session.

Lecture and workshop details and pricing are available on request.
